L&T GeoStructure Private Limited, Chennai, India set a record for constructing the longest in situ box girder concrete bridge across River Subarnarekha. This 62m in-situ PSC box girder, which is India’s first, is post-tensioned with 14 cables, each containing 22 HT strands. Weighing 1,100 MT, it is supported by heavy-duty scaffolding towers. The project includes one major (993.12m) and five minor bridges, along with embankment approaches in Baliapal and Bhograi Blocks, Balasore District, Odisha.
