Sri Ramachandra Institute of Higher Education and Research (Deemed University), Tamil Nadu, India, set the record for ‘Maximum Participants Taking a Digital Breastfeeding Awareness Pledge Organised by an Educational Institution’. A total of 6530 participants including students, faculty and health care professionals participated in a digital pledge campaign promoting breastfeeding awareness from July 15, 2026 to July 31, 2026. The initiative aimed to raise awareness about the importance of breastfeeding and its significant health benefits for newborns, encouraging greater awareness and support for optimal infant nutrition, as confirmed on August 7, 2026.
