Avanthika Chandran (born on May 16, 2012) of Kerala, India, set a record for treading water to stay afloat for the longest duration. She treaded water successfully in the middle of the river Periyar (at 30 feet depth without using goggles or any other guard) to remain afloat for 2 hours, 21 minutes and 33 seconds. The act was performed at the age of 10 years and 17 days, as confirmed on June 16, 2022.
