Mr. Phan Thanh Son (born on October 13, 1957) of Ho Chi Minh city, Vietnam set a record for making the largest version of the book “Nhat ky trong tu” (The Prison Diary) written in Vietnamese calligraphy. The book, which took up to a year to complete, measures 131 cm long, 99 cm wide, 41 cm tall, and weighs 260 kg, with the book cover made of Red Doussie wood weighing 150kg. The work is a collection of 133 poems from “The Prison Diary” and 133 teachings from World Cultural Celebrity Ho Chi Minh written in Vietnamese calligraphy on brocade silk fabric by Mr. Phan Thanh Son. The record was confirmed on October 13, 2023.
