OLDEST PERSON TO CLIMB MT. EVEREST
Min Bahadur Sherchan, (aged 76 years), of Nepal, is the oldest person in the world to have climbed the world’s highest mountain, on May 25, 2008. He beat the record set in 2007 by Japanese climber Katsusuke Yanagisawa, who scaled the peak at the age of 71.
