Dr. Krishan Gopal Jangid (Principal, Hamirgarh), Rajasthan, India, set the record for the maximum participation in a Sanskrit General Knowledge competition for students. From the 2010 academic session to the 2025 session, a total of 240,834 students participated—10,530 from classes 1 to 5, 72,825 from classes 6 to 8, 151,256 from classes 9 to 12, and 6,223 at the university level. The Sanskrit General Knowledge Quiz was organized in Bhilwara, Rajasthan. This initiative was launched to promote the study of Sanskrit across multiple levels of education, as confirmed on November 3, 2025.
