The Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities (Divyangjan) under the Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment, Govt. of India set a record for the maximum participants with disabilities performing yoga at a single venue. A total of 3068 participants with disabilities like intellectual disabilities, hearing, visual & locomotor and many other disabilities in the age group of 13-40 years assembled together and performed Yoga for 30 minutes at the Kanha Shanti Vanam, Chegur, Telangana as confirmed on June 21, 2023.
