The village of Turnips of Chernihiv, Ukraine, set a record for making the largest number of fritters on an open fire. A total of 912 fritters were prepared by 10 school girls of the Ripky Youth council in 55 minutes. The children set the record to help raise funds for food kits for the International Headquarters of Aid to Ukrainians, as confirmed on April 10, 2023.
