Preet Chandi of the United Kingdom set a record for covering the maximum distance in a solo unsupported one-way polar ski journey. She travelled across Antarctica from the Hercules Inlet to the Reedy Glacier over 70 days and 16 hours between November 13, 2022 and January 23, 2023. She covered a distance of 1,484.53 kilometres (922.44 miles), as confirmed on June 10, 2023.
