The Sangkhatang Tashidokama Monastery (Tsongkhapa Monastery) of the Regong Maba Monastery in Qinghai Province, China, holds the record for having the maximum colourful patterns. Built under the direction of Gengdeng Quezhi, the structure is hand-painted with colorful patterns both inside and outside using mineral and plant materials. Its painted patterns cover an area of 5,883.48 sq metres, as confirmed on November 28, 2023.
