Acharya Dr. Nilima Deshpande, founder of Ishavasya Gurukulam in Pune, Maharashtra, India, set the record for the ‘Longest Continuous Kathak Dance Relay’. A total of 24 participants aged from 13 to 58 performed a non-stop dance relay for 24 hours featuring 240 Abhang/Bhaktigeet dedicated to Lord Vitthal under her guidance. This uninterrupted relay of devotional Kathak performances, rooted in the Bhakti tradition, took place on Ashadhi Ekadashi on July 16, 2024 at midnight 12:00 am and ended on July 17, 2024 at midnight 12:00 am, at Shree Sant Seva Sangh Sadhana Kendra, Umbare, Bhor, Pune, when the Vitthal Wari reached Pandharpur, as confirmed on July 17, 2024.
