Shripad Yesso Naik (born October 4, 1952) set the record for being the first minister of AYUSH of independent India. He has held the position of the Union Minister of State (Independent Charge) in the Ministry of Ayurveda, Yoga & Naturopathy, Unani, Siddha and Homoeopathy (AYUSH) since November 2014, as confirmed on November 14, 2019.
