Mega Celebration of Two Decades of Vietnam Book of Records
In the vibrant heart of Ho Chi Minh city, Vietnam, a resounding celebration echoed through the streets on January 6, 2024, as the Vietnam Records Organization joyously commemorated its 20th Anniversary. Under the theme ‘Nobody Taxes Your Dream – Where there’s a Will, there’s a Way!’, the event celebrated the spirit of achievement and resilience.
The Vietnam Records Organization, founded in 2004 is guided by visionaries such as Mr. Le Tran Truong An, Dr. Thang Van Phuc, Dr. Le Doan Hop, and Prof Dr. Hoang Quang Thuan. With the illustrious support of Astronaut – Lieutenant General Pham Tuan, the first Asian astronaut to venture into space, VietKings has soared to unprecedented heights.
India Book of Records was invited as a special guest to grace the ceremony. The Indian delegation was led by Dr. Biswaroop Roy Chowdhury, Chairman, WorldKings and Mrs. Neerja Roy Chowdhury, Managing Editor, India Book of Records along with esteemed guests from Indonesia Book of Records and the top Record holders from the India Book of Records to be honored and make a mark for India on the World stage.
The festivities kicked off with a pre-event tour arranged by the hosts for the guests, on January 5, immersing guests in the rich tapestry of Vietnam’s cultural and historical landmarks.
The grand 20th Anniversary ceremony commenced with a moving patriotic flag salute led by Prof. Academician Hoang Quang Thuan, and a mesmerising performance of Vietnamese National Anthem by Indian prodigy Jyash Tholiya. Dr. Biswaroop Roy Chowdhury expressed about the profound significance of record-keeping in preserving talent and uplifting communities.
As the night unfolded, the celebration transformed into a captivating showcase of cultural richness. Mesmerizing musical performances, lively folk dances, and the prestigious distribution of the Golden Plate of Dedication added layers of grandeur to the event. Distinguished individuals, including top record holders from India, were honored. Shri Ram Chander Jangra, Dr. Bipin Kumar, Dr. Anant Biradar, Master Jyash Tholiya and his proud parents Mr. Ashish Tholiya and Mrs. Jyoti Jain Tholiya, Mr. Rahul Deo, and Yogacharya Sanjay Sharma, received well-deserved recognition for their outstanding contributions.
The crescendo of the evening arrived with a soul-stirring choir performance titled ‘Glorious Record Holders,’ celebrating Asian record holders in Vietnam. This harmonious culmination was followed by a grand photoshoot capturing the essence of the moment and a sumptuous lunch, creating memories that will linger in the hearts of attendees.
As Vietnam Records Organization looks back on two decades of triumph, this grand extravaganza propels them into a future destined for new records, milestones, and extraordinary achievements.
Squats, Strength, and a Daredevil Triumph of WiT Training
In the picturesque setting of Sun Signature Gallery, Phu Quoc City, the echoes of triumph resonated on January 8 as WiT Training Organization orchestrated a groundbreaking event. The air buzzed with anticipation as over 600 participants geared up to face the challenge of mastering squats, all under the watchful adjudication of Mrs. Neerja Roy Chowdhury, Managing Editor, India Book of Records.
Established in April 2021, WiT Training has emerged as a transformative force, offering courses that delve into the holistic health of individuals. With a focus on inner-psychiatry, tendon replacement, and energy enhancement, WiT Training’s commitment to holistic well-being took center stage during this exceptional event.
Mr. Tran Thanh Toan, the visionary owner of WiT Training, gave insights about the organization’s history and future goals to Mrs. Neerja Roy Chowdhury, shedding light on the values that underpin the training provided by this fitness haven.
Amidst the sea of determined participants, one individual stood out—Mrs. Truong My Ngoc. In her seventh month of pregnancy, she defied conventional expectations by completing over 3000 squats.
The excitement soared as the participants collectively established an official World Record, conquering a staggering 10,000 squats. However, the thrill didn’t stop there. Three exceptional participants locked in a fierce competition, pushing their limits with non-stop squats for more than 8 hours. The suspense was nothing short of electrifying.
The climactic moment arrived with Nguyen Thi Ha emerging victorious, securing an unprecedented 23,967 squats. She stood not just as a winner but as a daredevil fitness icon!
WiT Training’s fitness extravaganza wasn’t merely a competition; it embodied the spirit of celebrating the remarkable capabilities of the human body. As the sun set on this monumental day, it marked not just a record-breaking achievement but a profound chapter in the journey of individual and collective triumphs.
Chief Editors' Dinner Meet - 2022
he mega event of the 4th World Record Holders’ Meet was organized on 11 Sept-2022 by India Book of Records which was preceded by Chief Editors’ Meet on September 10, 2022. The Grand Dinner Meet of the esteemed guests who had arrived from their respective countries, enjoyed the hospitality of the hosts, India Book of Records at ‘The Grand Dinner Meet’
The dignitaries from the five-nation delegation had the Guest of Honour, a Vietnamese official, Dr. Le Doan Hop, Ph.D, the Chairman of Vietnam Record Setting Council of Vietnam Record Association and the former Minister of the Information and Communication Department of Vietnam. Other distinguished guests presented at the sumptuous dinner event were: Lieutenant General Pham Tuan, Chairman of SPHERE.6, First Vietnamese Astronaut; Dr. Thang Van Phuc, Chairman of Vietnam Record Association and the former Deputy Minister of the Vietnam Home Affairs. The glitterati of foreign delegates present at the dinner enjoyed a mix of international and Indian cuisines on the evening of September 10 and readied themselves for the mega event, the next day at Siri Fort, New Delhi.
4th World Record Holders’ Meet - 2022
When record-making organisations from across international boundaries rub their shoulders on a single stage, the result is no less than extraordinary. The exclusive feats achieved by our record-holders received an international exposure when India Book of Records in association with Vietnam Records Association organised the 4th World Record Holders’ Meet on 11 Sept-2022 at 10:30 am at Siri Fort Auditorium, New Delhi.
The participating countries were: the US, Nepal, Indonesia, Singapore and Vietnam. Along with foreign participation, an audience of around 2000 participants from about 200 Indian cities attended this event. Other foreign delegates included top scientists, doctors and industrialists of the respective nations from Indonesia, Vietnam, Nepal, Malaysia and the United States of America. The gala event with star performers who themselves, are the record holders with India Book of Records, had additionally provided glitter to the entire event.
International Meeting of the Chief Editors of Various Books of Records - 2022
In continuation with the collaboratory formation of International Protocol for New Records [IPNRs] in 2017 at Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, where the Chief Editors of various Books of Records from different countries came together to join hands to promote record holding activities, a recent International Meeting was held at Vietnam’s Ho Chi Minh City on June 6, 2022.
Dr. Biswaroop Roy Chowdhury, the Chief Editor, India Book of Records, was the Chief Guest, who addressed the Chief Editors of member nations i.e., Chief Editors of Vietnam Book of Records, Cambodia Book of Records, Indo-China Book of Records and Ukraine Book of Records.
