The Maldives (officially Republic of Maldives), is the first country in the world to have hold an official presidential cabinet meeting underwater. During the meeting, which the President and Vice President attended, a declaration on global climate change was signed.

Le Van Tuan, a musician of traditional music from HCMC, Vietnam, created a music book of CROR music (CROR music is a self invented music form by the musician himself) containing 430 pages and measuring 1.2m in width, 1.6m in length, 0.28m in thickness and weighing 250kg. The book is placed on an iron stand covered with wood (1.3mX2.8m and 250kg weight). CROR has been received positively by International and Domestic audience.

Svetlana Pankratova (Russia) has the world’s longest legs, measuring 132 cm (51.9 in), as on July 8, 2003.

A total of 1,000 students of colleges and universities from all over Punjab (Pakistan) created a painting measuring 41,685 square feet, on March 23, 2012, at the National Hockey Stadium, Pakistan.

Diya Mahaju and Anil Mahaju (both from Nepal), became the first lawfully wedded lesbian couple in Asia, on August 26, 2006. The ceremony was held at the Blue Diamond Society office in Lajimpat, Nepal.

The flower with the world’s largest bloom is the Rafflesia arnoldii. It is an endemic plant that occurs only in the rainforests of Sumatra Island in Indonesia. It can grow up to 3 ft across and weigh up to 15 pounds. It is a parasitic plant, with no visible leaves, roots, or stem. It attaches itself to a host plant to obtain water and nutrients. When in bloom, the Rafflesia emits a repulsive odour, similar to that of rotting meat, which attracts insects that pollinate the plant.
