Nav Bharat Nirman Samiti, Uttar Pradesh, India, set a record for the “Largest Handmade Bookmark Display.” The 4th edition of the Banaras Literature Festival (BLF 2026), held from January 29 to February 1 at Hotel Taj Ganges, Varanasi, showcased an extraordinary collection of 61,300 handmade bookmarks created by students and participants. This initiative aimed to honor India’s literary and cultural heritage, drawing inspiration from icons such as Buddha, Kabir, and Tulsidas, and reflected Varanasi’s deep-rooted legacy through craftsmanship, creativity, and poetic expression, as confirmed on February 1, 2026.
