India Book of Records, in association with Vietnam Book of Records, presents a rare opportunity for talented IBR record holders to participate in a pioneering international film:
“Vuon Tinh Yeu – Prem Ki Surdhara”
This will be the world’s first film dedicated to showcasing and enhancing the shared cultural heritage of India and Vietnam, with a focus on traditions that date back over a millennium.
The project was officially announced on June 19, 2025, in Hanoi, alongside a location survey by the India Book of Records team for the Vietnamese shooting sites. The film is scheduled to be filmed at multiple historically rich locations in both Vietnam and India. Serving as the producer is India Book of Records, led by its Chief Editor, Dr. Biswaroop Roy Chowdhury. Direction will be handled by Mr. Vimal Mishra, with Mr. Biswadeep Roy Chowdhury taking on the roles of Creative Director and Scriptwriter.
Marathi television sensation Sanchita Kulkarni, celebrated for her roles in Rani Me Honar and Jadubai Jorat, and acclaimed actress Kishori Shahane of Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin fame will star in the film.
IBR record holder Gopi Krishnan Varma who starred as Guddu in the 2025 Aamir Khan film Sitaare Zameen Par has also been finalised to be cast in the film.
Drawing inspiration from “The Guardian of Heritage,” a biography of celebrated Vietnamese folk artist Prof. Dr. Chu Bao Que, this film seeks to highlight and celebrate the artistic and cultural legacies of both nations. The film’s premiere is slated for February 14, 2026.
A formal announcement and official poster launch were held in India on July 24, 2025, at the Constitution Club in New Delhi. The press conference was hosted by Mrs. Neerja Roy Chowdhury, Managing Editor of the India Book of Records, and attended by distinguished guests and artists from both India and Vietnam. During the event, the official poster of the film was unveiled.
