Surja Handaka Vijjananda (born on June 22, 1971) of Jakarta, Indonesia, set a record for being the first to translate Pali Canon Books into Indonesian language. He started translating the 34 Pali Canon Books (the Pali Canon is a Buddhist holy book written in Pali) on September 1, 2018. Till date, he has translated 11 Pali books into Indonesian language, including Dhammapada, Theragāthā, Sutta Nipāta (ISBN: 978-60-28194-97-6) among others, which have been published by Indonesian Tipitaka Institute between October 31, 2021 and January 10, 2025, as confirmed on January 22, 2025.
