Institute of Hotel Management, along with Chef Vishnu Manohar – Professor Emeritus at MGMU IHM of Maharashtra, India, set a record for preparing and serving the maximum quantity of khichdi. Participants prepared 6500kgs of khichdi in 3.5 hours, primarily consisting of rice, beans, vegetables, water, salt, spices, and ghee at the MGM University Institute of Hotel Management, MGM Campus, N-6, CIDCO, Chh. Sambhajinagar, on December 14. The purpose of making khichdi was to designate it as the National Dish of India, as confirmed on December 14, 2023.
