Hang Son Doong (‘cave of the mountain river’ or ‘mountain cave of Doong ), also known as Son Doong cave is a solutional cave in PhongNha-Ke Bang National Park, Bo Trach District, QuangBinh Province, Vietnam. As in 2009, it had the largest known cave passage cross-section in the world. Less people have seen the inside of Hang Son Doong than have stood on the summit of Mount Everest. It measures 200 m (655ft) in height, 150 m (490ft) in width and at least 6.5 km (4 miles) in length.
