Drug addiction is a major social evil of modern times. Major newspaper headlines and sensational television coverage scream about drug abuse and related crimes. Fascination for drugs and their easy availability have heightened the number of drug abuse cases particularly among youngsters. Drugs produce a sence of euphoria but they are very dangerous because the users gradually get addicted and are always at risk of a variety of life-threatening diseases. Addicts face this risk unless they enter long term drug rehab programs and completely quit their drug habit.
America Telangana Association (ATA), Secunderabad, Telangana organized an event wherein 5,333 people run longest distance for protesting drug abuse to have drugs free Hyderabad at People’s Plaza, Necklace Road, Secunderabad, Telangana on December 3, 2017.
