Swayam Vilas Patil (born on March 28, 2007) of Maharashtra, India, set a record for being the youngest boy with Down’s syndrome to complete an open water swimming feat. He started swimming on March 6, 2020, from ‘Elephanta Island’ and completed at the ‘Gateway of India’ in 4 hours and 19 minutes at the young age of 12 years, 11 months and 23 days. He covered a distance of 14 km, as confirmed on May 11, 2020.
