Vu Duc Dong (born on July 11, 1972) of Dong Thap Province, Vietnam, set a record for owning a unique perennial yellow apricot tree in Asia. This tree is rare, more than 100 years old and has an unusual scar on its tree trunk. The name of his parents, “Tue Sam” (inlaid in gold), is inscribed in the scar (measuring 9 cm wide and 36 cm high). The tree symbolically has 9 roots and 9 branches, as confirmed on March 1, 2021.
